Welcome to Toraston FarmCamping on the Isle of Coll
Welcome toToraston Farm
We’re looking forward to another summer of wild camping on our farm in the East End of the Isle of Coll in the Hebrides…
Our resident lawnmowers have been nibbling away to get the campsite ready and we’re ready to take bookings for wild camping on Coll.
We look forward to welcoming you to our farm but please be aware that our environment is fragile, we encourage you to familiarise yourself with Scotland’s Outdoor Access Code prior to your stay.

camping on coll
The beaches at this part of the island are popular with visitors and locals alike, particularly Toraston, Wee Toraston and Red Rocks.
The area has an environmental designation due to its fragile, but beautiful Machair grass and sand dunes, which does not stand up to continued use by motor vehicles and can become damaged very quickly.
Given the popularity of this area for wild camping and the expectation that Coll will attract a greater number of visitors this year we would like to manage access to this area in line with Scotland’s Outdoor Access code.

In order to manage the numbers we would ask that all visitors to Coll wishing to camp on Toraston Farm, book a pitch at one of our designated sites prior to arrival to avoid disappointment.
Farmland Sites can be identified on the map below and will be marked with small numbered flags. The sites will not be fenced off from livestock and there are no facilities at these sites. However water, shower and recycling facilities are available in the village (approx 4 miles away). Please take all other waste away with you when you leave Coll.
We have three designated sites for Camper Vans and seven sites for tents. Cost per night is £15 per pitch, this covers the cost of managing this service and will help us protect our environment and wildlife for future generations to enjoy.
